The Flair Pair Cash Back offer applies to Sunday’s Arsenal v Man Utd game and Paddy Power Bookmaker will refund all losing 1st/last goalscorer, correct score and scorecast single bets on this match if Cristiano Ronaldo and Thierry Henry both score in 90 mins!

Applies to correct score, first/last Goalscorer and scorecast bets only
Applies to win part of each way goalscorers only.

Looking for An Offshore SportsBook for Safe Online Sports Bets?

Have a look at JustBet.com.

Licenced and operating in Costa Rica, JustBet.com is a privately held sportsbook run by the Tradewinds Group. This bookmaking organization has a good reputation for successfully servicing sports bettors for over 11 years through a range of betting brands. JustBet.com is a recent consolidation of Tradewinds betting sites and despite a 2006 launch, is no Johnny-come-lately with support systems and payment processes in place to support safe offshore wagers for US bettors.

Endorsed and certified by security watchdog the Offshore Gaming Council since 2000, JustBet.com may be the right betting option for you.

Jimmy Vaccaro, Master Linesmaker says of JustBet.com: “We make a point to drop by Tradewinds every year…there isn’t an operation outside of Vegas or Atlantic City that even comes close…these guys always manage to stay one step ahead of everybody else in the industry”

Bob Martin, Inventor of the Modern Point Spread has been quoted as saying “The Federal Reserve will stiff you before Tradewinds will…” “Tradewinds takes the biggest bets I’ve heard of and, most importantly, they pay. I haven’t heard of a maximum refused yet. The underground stories told of bets paid off by this no-nonsense shop are impressive”

Renowned betting tipster The Gooner of Goonersguide.com however considers that “Justbet.com is not a recommended bookmaker for European sports punters. European and UK online gamblers have plenty of better rated bookies to join and should see our bookie scorecard for details”.

He adds “For US sports bettors however, you have a limited number of choices and Justbet.com is probably the safest choice you have out there. It gives solid coverage of mainstream US professional sports with a brand that has been running for over a decade”.

Pinnacle Sports Pulls Out of US Market

PinnacleSports.com, one of the industry’s largest online sports betting operations, has voluntarily pulled out of the US market.

Many companies can not compete with PinnacleSports‘ tight margins where a player would win $94-$96 for every $100 bet on the handicaps compared to the typical odds of $90-$92 at most online bookmakers.

A brief message appeared on the PinnacleSports.com website Thursday morning:

“After careful consideration, Pinnacle Sports have chosen to voluntarily exit the U.S. market. Accordingly, wagers will no longer be accepted from clients within the U.S. as of Thursday, January 11, 2007.

Those clients who are affected will be required to withdraw their balances using the Cashier of their account.

We assure all our clients your balances are available and Pinnacle will continue providing our international clients our same great value. “

PinnacleSports have a sizable European market share (with 40% of their business is believed to be European and Asian based) and will continue to service all other betting regions.

The PinnacleSports website is still online and accepting bets from existing customers – but investigations show that the option ‘United States’ has been withdrawn from the list of eligable countries in the join-up process.

For professional sports bettors, no sports book or bookmaker comes close to the odds on offer at PinnacleSports, and this change will mean a significant number of US based bettors will be looking for betting action elsewhere.

Bookies Dodge 2,500-1 Bullet !!

Irish bookie Paddy Power dodged a 2500-1 bullet on Tuesday night when Arsenal thrashed Liverpool in thier Carling Cup quarter final at Anfield.

The 6-3 scoreline to Arsenal was available at a whopping 2,500/1 before kick off on Monday night, the biggest ever correct score odds in living memory according to the bookmakers.

Not surprisingly – the bookie reports not having taken a single winning bet on the correct score prediction.

Paddy Power said, “Liverpool were hot favourites to win, boy did we get it wrong! I know it’s a funny old game and all that, but nine goals at Anfield?

“It’s the most unlikely ever correct score that I can remember and if anyone had been lucky enough, or crazy enough to back it, they’d have got tasty odds of 2,500/1!”

—–

Chelsea remain hot favourites at 8/15 to go on and win the Carling Cup ahead of their match with outsiders Wycombe on Wednesday night while Arsenal are now 3/1 second favourites.

FA Cup 4th Round Draw …

Chelsea are as short as 15/8 (2.87) to win the 2007 FA Cup after being drawn at home to lower league opposition for the second round running. The 4th round draw saw the Blues paired with League One Nottingham Forest and Bet Direct responded by cutting Jose Mourinho’s men to 15/8 from 9/4.

Manchester United were also handed a home tie but they must overcome in-form Portsmouth. Local bookie Betfred viewed it as a favourable draw and cut Sir Alex Ferguson’s men to 11/4. (3.75)

Arsenal were also drawn at home but face a tougher task against Bolton. Sporting Odds, bet365 and Betfred all responded by drifting the Gunners out to 9/2 (5.50).

Spurs, moved to 4th favourite, after being drawn to host either Southend or Barnsley (if they win their replay against Cardiff) were cut to 9s at most bookies – although Premierbet still offer 12-1. (13.00)

Blackburn are fifth favourites in most books now after beating Everton and will be playing wway to either QPR or Luton. Rovers men range from 16-1 at bet365 to 25-1 at Betfred.

Newcastle are general 20/1 shots. If they win their replay against Birmingham then they’ll have a home clash at St James’ either Reading or Burnley.

Fourth Round Full Draw
Arsenal v Bolton
West Ham v Watford
Bristol City or Coventry v Hull or Middlesbrough
Chelsea v Nottingham Forest
Chester or Ipswich v Swansea
Cardiff or Spurs v Southend or Barnsley
Barnet or Colchester v Peterborough or Plymouth
Birmingham or Newcastle v Reading or Burnley
Derby v Bristol Rovers
Sheffield Wednesday or Man City v Southampton

No Red Card for Red Card Media Limited

At a recent gambling industry event Kishan Nielsen, industry commentator and spokesperson for Red Card Media Limited stated “2006 was a very busy year, especially the latter half, with alliances forming, company acquisitions and legislative changes throughout the industry impacting on both operators and players”.

So what is it that has kept the RedCard Media team so busy?

“What are the advantages of a sports betting exchange?” gmalone
“Which sports book has the best odds?” jenix
“Aren’t all online poker rooms basically the same?” 007foxy
“Are online casinos safe and can I trust them with my money?” hummingboid
“Casino bonuses are just such a rip off…” ronaldo_10

Sound familiar? These excerpts are from some of the hundreds of emails sent to BookieLabrat.com, PokerLabRat.com and CasinoLabRat.com in December 2006.

As three of the five web sites owned and operated by Red Card Media Limited, this LabRat trio specialise in testing and evaluation of online sports bookmakers, poker rooms and casinos. Established in 2005, the LabRats assess hundreds of online gambling sites each quarter and publish a ‘top 20’ listing and fact sheets based on their findings.

Okay, so where do they fit into the industry? As an example, CasinoLabRat.com is not an industry watchdog. It does not accredit casinos like eCogra, or attempt to be a player advocate and ‘rogue’ casinos like Casinomeister. CasinoLabRat.com offers a simpler player advisory solution in the form of detailed independent reviews of the best casinos on the web.

Ever wondered where the best craps games can be found online? Recommendations for ‘Best Craps’, ‘Best Roulette’ and ‘Best Blackjack Casino’ are given as well as a fact sheet for easy comparison of the top casinos still accepting US residents.

In addition to full bookmaker reviews, BookieLabRat.com highlights sites as ‘Best sports book for US sports bets’, ‘Top UK Bookmaker’ and even recommends ‘Best bookie for Asian Handicap Odds’.

PokerLabRat.com offers a range of recommendations such as ‘best poker rooms for cash games’, ‘poker site with the most fish’ (easy money) and a very useful ‘best poker site to learn profitable Texas Holdem play’.

So how does the online gambling site testing work?

The LabRat team is made up of US, UK, European and Southern Hemisphere-based members who are casual players, professional gamblers or industry consultants. Each member specialises in either casino, poker or sports betting and first-time users/players have their say too testing ‘getting started’ and the all important ‘frustration factor’ of each gambling site.

While there are a plethora of web sites promoting gambling, we think that the LabRat trio are well worth a look if you’re in need of some online gambling advice or a second opinion to get your 2007 off to a safe and potentially profitable start.
