Agent reveals Arsenal’s January offer for Robinho
Robinho has admitted some frustration with the lack of action he’s seen this season under coach Fabio Capello and his agent, Wagner Ribeiro, revealed yesterday: “In January, offers arrived from Arsenal and AC Milan. “But Real Madrid refused and told me they did not want to sell him. “At the moment, the player’s situation is complicated and we must meet with (Real sports director) Predrag Mijatovic in order to learn the intentions of Real in sight of next season.”

He revealed to benchtalk.co.uk: “(I) never had enough money for Samuel Eto’o – 8 million euros to buy 50 per cent of him.”Despite his issues with Michael Ricketts, Allardyce still rates the newly signed Preston North End striker as his best ever buy. “Michael Ricketts, I bought for £450,000 and sold him for £3.5 million.”

Strachan: Celtic a mad, great club
