Having moaned in a previous blog post about the lack of ‘a sporting chance’ in a recent PaddyPower Money Back Special, the canny Irish gent has come to the party with what we consider to be a far better deal. In our view a scoreless draw is potentially on the cards…

The team at BookieLabRat.com and top Bookie Fred Done of BetFred.com wish all punters a ‘Happy St George’s Day!’
As the net is such a cool global medium, if that’s met with a big huh? then here’s a little info…
St. George’s Day is celebrated by several nations of whom Saint George is the patron saint, including Georgia, Bulgaria, Portugal, England, Catalonia and the Gora.
For England, St. George’s Day also marks its National Day.
Not much is known about the real St George. He is thought to have been born into a noble Christian family in the late third century in Cappadocia, an area which is now in Turkey. He followed his father’s profession of soldier and became part of the retinue of the Emperor Diocletian. The emperor ordered the systematic persecution of Christians and George refused to take part. In 303, he was himself tortured and executed in Palestine, becoming an early Christian martyr.
The legend of George slaying a dragon and rescuing an innocent maiden from death is medieval. St George’s Day is celebrated in England on 23 April, reputed to be the day of George’s martyrdom in 303.
