The Minnesota Vikings (8-6-1 SU and ATS) kept their playoff drive alive in Week 16 by beating the Detroit Lions 27-9 as 6.5-point road favorites. That’s back-to-back SU and ATS wins for Minnesota; they didn’t move the ball particularly well against the Lions until the second half, which has been an issue for the Vikes this year – especially in the run game, where they put up just 100 yards rushing against Detroit.
Meanwhile the Chicago Bears (11-4 SU and ATS) have already clinched the NFC North, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be taking it easy in Week 17. The Bears can still earn the No. 2 conference seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs with a win over Minnesota and a loss by the LA Rams, and the Rams don’t host the San Francisco 49ers until later in the afternoon.
The Bears beat the 49ers 14-9 in Week 16 as 4.5-point road favorites.
