Real Madrid on the drift after Capello sacked
Real Madrid have slipped in the pre-season betting after they sacked title-winning manager Fabio Capello.
Barcelona are favourites to win the La Liga title they lost to Real Madrid last season, at 2.00 at VC Bet while Real Madrid are now out to 2.63 at PremierBet to win back-to-back titles under a new boss.
“Fabio Capello has guided Real Madrid to two La Liga titles in his only two seasons at the club, but even that obviously wasn’t enough to keep him in the job,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
“Whoever gets the job of replacing him is up against it in our book, as we favour Barca to grab the title back next year.”
It seems to be looking pretty much a two-horse race in Spain next season with Valencia (15.00 at Ladbrokes) and Sevilla at 17.00 the only other sides quoted under 50.
